The proposed budget is $9,631,499 as compared to last year’s budget of $9,603,255 <\!m> an increase of $28,274, or .29 percent.
Recommendations by th e administration for the coming year include a five percent increase in water and sewer rates, and an eight percent increase in sanitation rates.
If approved, it would increase a household’s minimum charge for these services from $39.45 monthly to $41.90.
A slight salary increase of 1.4 percent is proposed for employees based on the consumer price index change.
The administration is recommending the tax rate remain the same <\!m> $0.4236 per $100 valuation.
